Not a very entertaining book. It more or less is just a long complain fest. Also he endlessly makes as if the Mongols are not criminals and are treated unfairly then talks about shooting people. This is a terrible book
i first read the billy queen 'under and alone' which i liked, this wasnt to bad, there were some great stories within the story, but i found it bogus as to how when anything was going to go down how cavazo would minimize his role and play the "i didnt want to do it but i had no choice" victim card. Its like he thinks that the reader is an absolute moron. Though not a 1% myself i have been around enough of those guys to know that they are far from angels or 'victims'...and in this case for cavazo to try and make us believe that he was just trying to run a boys club of dudes who wanted nothing more than to just hang around and drink beer and party is obscene...they didnt get their rep by knitting doylies and i dont believe for a minute that trouble always found them...in the same way i dont believe he had no knowledge of what was happening within his organization!!! And as time has proven he too turned out to be a rat bastard and a turn-coat, so all his big talk and mffm mantra was a load of bs making his book read like an even bigger load of crap!!! worth the read if u want both sides of the story, but he comes across as a 'wrong place at wrong time' victim and not the ruthless leader we all know he was. i gave it 3 stars out of kindness...and pitty
What a lousy book,it was so bad I could barely make it through the first twenty pages before I threw it away it.I wanted to read about the Mongols M.C. The author's only goal in writing the book is self promoting himself. If that isn't bad enough the author goes on to puff himself up and manages to look like a pompous ass in the process. One can only hope this boring book ended up losing money for the author. Maybe the author should have taken the time to read some good books written about M.C.'S before trying his hand at writing. I give this book a one star, because I couldn't give it a minus 5 star's. Save your money or look in a dumpster to find the book, which is where it belongs.
I've read quite a few books by other bikers as well as LEO's and documentary type writers. If you're looking for a book about the Mongols this ain't it. This book is by Doc...about Doc....who portrays himself as a maligned and misunderstood individual who was only trying to make the Mongols better. He's full of s***...he's a gang-banger...not a biker...and the Mongols finally realized that and kicked his ass out.
writer tells his story but is to careful in leaveing out the real stories that we read these books for. does a great job of protecting the club and himself!!!
I hate to say it, but don't waste your time or money on this one.The author spends about half of the book giving a fairly boring rendition of his involvement in gangs and prisons. The last one half or so of the book is about the Mongols. The author says that he's always been about creating a group of motorcycle enthusiasts who while not looking for trouble will not hesitate to defend themselves. If you've read the above, you've basically read the book - about a $0.99 value....
Good book
